“Now” is always the prefect time to reevaluate your brand, your image, and how you are seen and perceived by your target market.

Today the forecast calls for twenty-four inches of snow.  Good day to stay home and work in my sweats.  Wait! I’ve been doing that for a year.  For some reason a big snowfall, or some major weather event, seems to change our perspective and our outlook.

Schedule some time to step back from your appraisal practice and take a look “from the outside in.” What do you and your business look like to a prospect or to a new client? If you’re using Zoom for client meetings or as an enhanced selling tool, you must identify how you are perceived to those on the other end of the conversation.

As you have probably seen, the backdrop in both Leon’s Pennsylvania office and my office in New Jersey are our library bookshelves (with real books on them). I never really thought much about it until one of our appraisal associates was helping us land a pretty big job via a Zoom conference.  The prospect said to our appraisal associate; “Look he has books!  Let’s use him.”  Good thing I didn’t have my banjo in the background! LOL
