Why You Need the Digital Version of The 2018-2019 USPAP Manual
As you know, The Appraisal Foundation (TAF) recently released the 2018-2019 version of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice. Every two years they publish a new edition.
Naturally, like all responsible appraisers we buy a copy, just like you do. I love the digital edition. This digital PDF format is searchable, which makes life so easy. You can easily find a phrase, citation, section, Standard, or opinion.
Definitions can be directly extracted from the document and added to your appraisal reports. The digital PDF can be easily referenced when you help your clients prepare for court, or when you are creating interrogatories or deposition questions in your litigation support engagements. (Want more of that kind of work? Give us a call).
Adobe Acrobat provides a window where the table of contents is displayed, for easy searching. There is also a sidebar where you can search by word or phrase.
The Appraisal Foundation may still offer a “combo deal” where you get both the digital version and the hardcopy. We don’t sell it at National Appraisal Consultants. Get it directly from: https://www.appraisalfoundation.org
Leon Castner and National Appraisal Consultants do however provide the latest USPAP 7-hour update classes, as well as the full 15-hour USPAP program — (Both in-classroom and as live stream webinars).
